Babe Ruth
(1895-1948)
Baseball Player

George Herman “Babe” Ruth was a superstar whose style personified the “Roaring Twenties.” Known as “The Sultan of Swat,” “The Bambino,” and simply “The Babe,” Ruth remains perhaps the greatest baseball player in history. He overcame a troubled childhood to become the home run king whose drawing power helped save the sport after the “Black Sox” betting scandal of 1919.
